The Youth Alliance for Environment (YAE) actively addresses the pressing challenges posed by climate change and increasing disaster risks in Nepal. As a country highly vulnerable to climate-induced hazards such as floods, landslides, droughts, and glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), Nepal requires robust strategies to safeguard communities and ecosystems.
YAE’s work in Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) focuses on empowering vulnerable communities, particularly youth and marginalized groups, with the knowledge, tools, and practices needed to anticipate and cope with climate impacts. Through community-based adaptation programs, capacity building, and awareness campaigns, YAE fosters resilience by promoting sustainable agriculture, water resource management, and ecosystem restoration.
