Youth Alliance for Environment (YAE) invites applications from qualified and motivated internal candidates for the position of Executive Director (ED).

Position Information

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director will provide overall strategic, operational, financial, and institutional leadership to YAE. Major responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic leadership and organizational management.
• Implement decisions of the Executive Board.
• Manage programmes, finance, administration, and human resources.
• Lead resource mobilization and partnership development.
• Represent YAE with government agencies, donors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure organizational compliance, accountability, and sustainable growth.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Master’s degree in Environmental Science, or other relevant discipline.
• At least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including five (5) years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership, policy engagement, programme management, financial management, institutional development, and resource mobilization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits

The selected candidate will receive benefits in accordance with the Executive Director Employment Contract and YAE policies.
