Key Responsibilities
The Executive Director will provide overall strategic, operational, financial, and institutional leadership to YAE. Major responsibilities include:
Provide strategic leadership and organizational management.
Implement decisions of the Executive Board.
Manage programmes, finance, administration, and human resources.
Lead resource mobilization and partnership development.
Represent YAE with government agencies, donors, and stakeholders.
Ensure organizational compliance, accountability, and sustainable growth.

A Master’s degree in Environmental Science, or other relevant discipline.
At least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including five (5) years in a senior management or leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership, policy engagement, programme management, financial management, institutional development, and resource mobilization.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Our Climate, Our Rights: Youth & Children Localizing General Comment No. 26

Youth Alliance for Environment (YAE) successfully organized a two-day workshop titled in Kathmandu. In partnership with Save the Children in Nepal and supported by SIDA, the workshop brought together 28 children and youth participants.
The workshop focused on:
• Strengthening understanding of General Comment No. 26 (GC 26)
• Identifying key gaps and challenges in the meaningful participation of children and youth in climate and environmental policies
• Empowering young people to articulate their perspectives and co-create practical, actionable recommendations for climate policies
This workshop marks an important step toward advancing child and youth rights and reinforcing their meaningful participation in policy processes at local, national, and global levels.
