Training for forestry Sector Trade Unions Members in Collaboration with WWF Nepal and Building and Wood Worker’ International (BWI)

About the Project

This project aimed to strengthen the capacity of forestry sector trade union members by enhancing their knowledge and skills in biodiversity conservation, forest fire management, and climate change adaptation. The following key activities were carried out:

  • Preparation of a detailed training work plan.
  • Collection of relevant resource materials for training.
  • Coordination with resource persons and participants.
  • Formation of forest fire-fighting squad teams.
  • Handover of necessary firefighting equipment to the squad teams.

This initiative was implemented from 2012 to 2014 in Kathmandu, Kavre, and Sindhupalchowk, in partnership with WWF Nepal.
