About Project

To sensitize local communities on climate change adaptation processes and facilitate the preparation of 14 Local Adaptation Plans for Action (LAPAs) across the Terai Arc Landscape (TAL). The project aimed to strengthen community awareness, generate localized climate data, and support vulnerable communities in planning for climate-resilient development.

  • To develop the study framework for LAPA preparation.

  • To conduct field visits across 14 VDCs and generate necessary data.

  • To analyze collected data in accordance with LAPA requirements.

  • To support and facilitate the preparation of Local Adaptation Plans for Action.

Implemented in partnership with CARE Nepal / Hariyo Ban Program across 14 VDCs of the Terai Arc Landscape—Krishnapur, Daijee, Thakurdwara, Kamdi, Binauna, Satbariya, Phulbari, Thori, Piple, Padampur, Handikhola, Manahari, Manaharwa, and Amlekhgunj—from December 2014 to June 2015 (7 months).
