About the Project

The project aimed to enhance the economic resilience of the most vulnerable small-holder farmers in Lamkichuwa, Godawari, and Rajapur municipalities of Nepal through Integrated Fish Farming (IFF) and Climate Smart Vegetable Farming (CSVF). The initiative focused on improving livelihoods, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and building technical capacity at the community level.

Key Activities:

  • Conduct coordination meetings with municipal authorities and select beneficiaries for IFF and CSVF in all target municipalities

  • Develop a training manual on Integrated Fish Farming and Climate Smart Vegetable Farming

  • Provide training to field staff, municipal agricultural technicians, and farmers on IFF and CSVF practices

  • Construct IFF ponds with integrated livestock sheds

  • Establish vegetable nurseries and distribute saplings to communities

  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to farmers on IFF and CSVF throughout the project period
