About Project

To assess the economics of climate change, its impacts on rural livelihoods, and the local adaptation measures practiced by communities in the Churia Region of Nepal. The project aimed to document community perceptions, analyze climate-related changes over the past three decades, and understand the economic implications of these changes on rural households.

  • To review the general understanding and perceptions of local communities on climate change over the past 30 years.

  • To document climate-related events and evaluate the severity of their impacts across different categories of rural households.

  • To identify and document local adaptation measures adopted by communities in their livelihoods.

  • To assess the economic impacts of climate change on rural households.

Implemented with support from WWF Nepal, the project was carried out in Shaktikhor VDC of Chitwan District from July 2015 to September 2015 (3 months).
