About the Project
The project focused on developing the official Project Document (ProDoc) for the GEF-6 Biodiversity Conservation Program under the initiative Integrated Landscape Management to Secure Nepal’s Protected Areas and Critical Corridors. The assignment supported WWF Nepal and GEF in preparing a comprehensive, consultative, and technically robust project document aligned with national strategies, WWF-GEF guidelines, and global biodiversity priorities.
Key Activities:

Conduct detailed document reviews of the Project Identification Form (PIF) and related documents including TAL Strategy, consultation notes, and WWF-GEF policy guidelines

Participate in the kickoff workshop and training on WWF-GEF methodologies

Develop the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) following WWF-GEF templates and standards

Carry out desktop analysis to define the policy and strategic baseline for the project

Draft reports outlining threats, barriers, and baselines through consultations with national, regional, and site-level stakeholders, supported by literature review

Facilitate workshops and contribute to drafting activity tables and site selection criteria under the guidance of the lead consultant and WWF-GEF Agency

Collect data for GEF tracking tools, complete required tracking formats, and set indicator targets in coordination with MoFSC and partner institutions

Support the lead consultant in workplan development, reviewing technical assessments, preparing stakeholder analyses, and identifying risks and mitigation measures

Draft project document annexes and assist the gender analysis and safeguard consultants in their respective assessments

Maintain complete documentation of all consultation processes, including gender-disaggregated participant records and summary notes
