About the Project

The project involved monitoring and evaluating the mentee-led initiatives under Batch III of The Generation Green (TGG) Mentorship Program, a five-year youth-focused conservation campaign launched by WWF Nepal. The program aims to strengthen youth engagement in environmental conservation by encouraging innovative, practical, and community-driven solutions. Through mentorship and collaborative learning, TGG empowers young people to address environmental challenges while enhancing their leadership and project management skills.

Key Activities:

  • Reduce and monitor air pollution through the promotion and use of air purifiers

  • Discourage plastic use and promote a plastic-neutral lifestyle through awareness campaigns

  • Encourage active participation of children in waste management and tree plantation activities

  • Document the interconnected realities of ecology, culture, and education in earthquake-affected communities

  • Conduct awareness programs on human–wildlife conflict for school students near protected areas

  • Transform waste into useful goods by training school children to create value-added items from locally available scrap materials
