Prepare a Local Adaptation Plan of Action plan of municipalities by adopting participatory process. Its main objective is to guide local governments and other stakeholders to mainstream climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and management in the overall process of development and resource management at the local level.

✤ Identify, document and prioritize the risks and vulnerabilities created by climate change at the local level. To analyze the climatic risk and vulnerabilities of the target wards and
settlements.
✤ Increase the adaptive capacity of vulnerable individuals, households, groups and communities and to facilitate the identification and implementation of climate adaptive activities.
✤ Increase investment in the implementation of climate resilient plans by integrating the issues of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and management in the local level
planning process.
✤ Support the development infrastructures as well as education, health, drinking water and local technology to make the climate resilient.
✤ Raise public awareness about climate change and resilience to elected local representatives, municipal officials and vulnerable community.
✤ Coordinate and cooperate with various agencies such as Nepal Climate Change Adaptation Assistance Program 2, District Coordinating Committee, Neighboring Municipalities, NGO’s
working at local level, ward offices and other stakeholders in a participatory and effective manner.
